Need a Quote on a Movie Poster Design?

We can make a simple poster design in as little as 1 hour, but it depends on the complexity of the design and the content. Things to consider are images, special effects and modifications to images with photoshop, logos, print and display formats and requirements…

We have crafted a few questions to help you provide some important details that will help us to quote more accurately:

1. Are you able to send us a link to sample/s of a movie poster that most closely matches your design style and expectation?

2. Your photo/image details: Please provide a link to your images (or attach them in an email) so that we can see what we will be working with. Will it be one image for the whole poster or a montage of several pics? We would like to know how much/what level of photoshop will be required; as you can imagine, it is possible to spend many hours on one photo creating design variations and filter effects or distortions, so it’s good to have an understanding of whether you have any specific guidelines regarding the style or photoshop effects you are hoping for. This will help us to have a more accurate understanding of the time we’ll need to cover in the quote.

3. Details to be included on the poster:
It’s helpful if I can see a word doc with a list of details that are to be included, so we can see how much content needs to be incorporated into the design. Other logos to be included, ie: DolbySound, production company logos etc.. Will you be able to source and provide high resolution logos?

4. Poster formats: If you know what sizes or variations you might need, please specify. Ie:

  1. A3 (for printing CMYK format) requires crop and bleed marks for professional printing (full version with credits)
  2. A3 (for printing CMYK format) no crop or bleed marks so it can be self-printed on home printers or at Office Works. (full version with credits)
  3. 16×9 screen version (1920px X 1080px) (abbreviated promotional version for Netflix/Prime… Just title, tagline and image, no credits)

5. Additional Details? If you have any other details about what you are hoping to achieve, please let us know. Maybe you have a hand-drawn sketch. Perhaps you have a particular “vibe” or feeling that you want the poster to invoke? Please do let us know. Things like that are really helpful and can help us to visualise concepts and potential ideas.
