Splotch Studio recently launched a brand new website for Malthouse Brew Supplies in Welshpool, WA.
Brian, the owner of Malthouse Brew Supplies was referred to Splotch Studio by an existing client. Brian has been running a great home brew supplies shop in Welshpool for many years and his previous website had been there since 2010. Needless to say, it was pretty outdated and Brian was keen for a change.
There were hundreds of products and thousands of customers registered on the old website, so Splotch Studio migrated all of the member details and product images and details into a new WordPress, Woocommerce store. We custom designed the product pages and the rest of the website with Elementor Pro and provided on-site training for Brian, so that he could ask any questions and see and test out how to make changes to his own store.
What else did Splotch Studio do? We set up a MailChimp account which is synced with his website newsletter subscribe feature, so that when anyone subscribes to his site, their details are automatically updated to the Mailchimp list which will be ready for Brian when he decides to start sending out newsletters or specials and updates to his mailing list. We noticed that the logo on the old website was looking a bit outdated too, so we drafted up a new logo for Brian to display on his new website, as a bonus.
The first time that I went out to meet Brian at his shop, he was busy providing incredible service to one of his customers and with the customers permission, I took a few photos to capture the moment. You can see some of those photos on the Malthouse website now.
Brian now has a great opportunity to practice making changes to the products on his store as he has hundreds of new images to update over the coming weeks (to replace the old images that were imported from the old website). In the last few days I recorded a few brief video tutorials for Brian, so that he can re-visit them if he needs a refresher course on how to edit the products and content on his website, and also how to monitor the product orders.
I have a few great pics to share on social media from earlier today when I was out showing Brian how to edit his new website (check the Splotch social media accounts), because we were interrupted mid-tutorial by a noisy hailstorm!
We both ran to the window to take a better look and I took some photos and video footage. I mentioned to Brian that he should run outside to fill up a beer mug with the hail stones for a social media post, but he instead agreed for me to just take some photos and tag him. 🙂
All the best with the new online store Brian and I’ll be here if you need a hand or have any questions.
